  3.   There have ben a lot changes made to SANDP in this version and I 
  4. hope  a  lot of them are for the better.  Read on and see  if  you 
  5. agree:

  7.   1)  SANDP 2.0 has now been updated to show TNY format  pictures. 
  8. SANDP  will even show monochrome pics on a color monitor and  vice 
  9. versa. The colors may look a little strange, but you can view them 
  10. all now.

  12.   2) You no longer have to make up a monochrome AND color  version 
  13. of SANDP.  The program now figures out which resolution you are in 
  14. and  loads in the correct title picture.  The SETUP.INF  file  has 
  15. been  changed to contain both picture names,  an well as a lot  of 
  16. other things.

  18.   The SETUP.INF file has now been changed to the following format:

  21. 2     bytes  in GFA Basic Mki$ format to tell SANDP the  value  of 
  22.       color register 0. (You can now install custom colors, too!)

  46.    A new version of CONFIG.PRG is included to comply with the  new 
  47. format.  This version is much easier to use and will let you  view 
  48. the setup as it will look in SANDP before you save the file. 
  49.    Make sure the "CONFIG.RSC file is in the same directory as  the 
  50. program and run it.  It should be easy to follow, but just in case 
  51. you have trouble, here's how it works:

  53.   You are presented with a menu with the usual items:  Load, Save, 
  54. New,  Edit,  View, and Quit. Since the old and new setup files are 
  55. incompatible,  load will do you no good until you've made up a new 
  56. file and saved it. 
  57.    First thing to do is click on "New" You'll be presented with  a 
  58. dialog box with all sorts of goodies.  Here, you can enter in your 
  59. window title,  title picture names,  menu headings and files,  and 
  60. set the colors you wish to use.  Just fill in the blanks with what 
  61. you want.  When you finish one heading, click on the "Next" button 
  62. to go to the next heading.  You can go back to the previous one by 
  63. clicking on "PREV" .  You don't have to fill up each column.  Just 
  64. put  as many as you need in and the program will take care of  it. 
  65. You can use up to a maximum of five headings and the program  will 
  66. let you know when you get that far.
  67.   When everything looks good,  click on "Okay".  You'll be back at 
  68. the  main menu.  If you want to see how the setup file will  look, 
  69. click  on  "View" in the menu.  A SANDP lookalike screen  will  be 
  70. presented and you'll be able to see just how the colors and  menus 
  71. look.  When everything is to your satisfaction, "Save" the file as 
  72. "SETUP.INF" and you're all set.

  74.  3)  In the previous DOC file, two files were referenced which are 
  75. no longer needed.  KUDOSCOL.RSC and KUDOSMON.RSC are not needed in 
  76. SANDP.  These files were for an earlier version that used Resource 
  77. files for the credits box. Thanks to Tom Hayslett of GFACLASS fame 
  78. for constructing new credits boxes using GFA Constructor.

  80.   4) On the Slideshow title screen,  the instructions box was  not 
  81. aligned right. This is now fixed.

  83.   5)  When using a mono or DEGAS color title picture,  it was  not 
  84. displayed  for a long enough period of time.  SANDP now shows  the 
  85. picture for at least four seconds before continuing.

  87.   6)  Horizontal scroll bars have been added to give a little more
  88. flexibility to SANDP.

  91.   These are all the changes I have so far.  If and when more  bugs 
  92. are reported,  I'll jump on them and have them  fixed.  (Providing 
  93. the shareware concept works out.  No sense fixing a program nobody 
  94. is using, is there?)
